Abstract

Writing this paper discusses the legal issues relating to the role of Honorary Council of Notaries in giving consent to law enforcement when checking notary who allegedly violated the law. This problem motivated that Article 66 of Law No. 2 of 2014 mandated the Honorary Council of Notaries which has the authority to give consent to law enforcement officers to check the Notary. The research objective is to analyze the role of the panel of honorary notary in giving consent to law enforcement authorities when examining the notary who allegedly committed a violation of criminal law when running office, analyzing obstacles or constraints assemblies honor notary in approving the law enforcement officers who carry out the investigation and trial of a notary public, and analyze the assembly effort in improving the notary honor the authority and capacity to give consent to the law enforcement investigating a notary. From the description above raises some questions, What is the Role Honorary Council of Notaries in Gives Approval to law enforcement when Checking Notary, what barriers or constraints Honorary Council of Notaries in approving the law enforcement officers who carry out the investigation or proceedings against a Notary, how the efforts of the Honorary Council Notaries in improving authority and capacity to give consent to law enforcement that an investigation into the Notary. The method used in this paper is empirical legal research. The approach used that approach to the sociology of law. Results of the discussion of this writing that role of Honorary Council of Notaries in Agreement to Provide Law Enforcement when Checking Notary alleged Violations of criminal law while performing His post as a Notary should keep running.
