Abstract

The research with aimed to know the effect of pine bark, aloe vera leaf gel and their interactions on seedling growth of vanilla and  attack intensity of Fusarium sp have been done from June to October 2010, used a randomized block design with Factorial pattern, with 3 replications. The results showed that no significant interaction between the provision of pine bark and aloe vera gel on seedling growth of  vanilla and attack intensisty  of  Fusarium sp. The giving of pine bark alone is not able to increase seedling growth of cuttings of vanilla and lower intensity of Fusarium sp. Aloe vera gel could increased the seedling growth of vanilla, but no significant different on attack intensity of Fusarium sp. Aloe vera gel 50% could  increased the root length, root dry weight and shoot dry weight respectively 72.6%, 57.9% and 65.7% compared to without aloe vera gel
