Theaim of this study was to investigate the prenatal complications and pregnancy outcomes inmothers and infants in Kerman province using factor analysis and clustering to implementefficient and effective strategies in the future.Methods: In this cross-sectional study, demographic information and prenatal complicationswere extracted from the mothers and infants national system of Kerman province in 2014 andimported into the Excel file. Data was analyzed using SPSS software through factor analysisand clustering.Results: The prevalence of cesarean section was 44oh. The percentage of maternal deathsduring pregnancy or childbirth was 0.005% of the total childbirths. Approximately 10.1% ofinfants born in Kerman had low birth weight. The factor analysis showed that the first factor(pregnancy and delivery complication)represented the percentage of childbirth complications,cesarean, infants' malformations and pregnancy complications, and the second factor (motherand child health) represented the ratio of maternal death during pregnancy and childbirth tothe total births, neonatal death to the total childbirths and low birth weight to the totaldeliveries. The pregnancy and delivery complication factor had the best status in Manoujan,Anar and Kahnooj and the mother and chjld health factor had the best status in Shahr-e-Babak, Anar and Manoujan.Conclusion: Paying attention to deprived areas and equipment of referral hospitals in bigcities should be considered as two parallel future strategies to ensure equity in health inKerman province.Keywords: pregnancy outcomes, cluster analysis, justice
