Com a revisão do Código dos Contratos Públicos, foi introduzida a figura do Gestor do Contrato, com o objetivo de garantir uma melhor gestão e execução dos contratos públicos. Na indefinição clara da forma de atuar deste profissional, pretendeu-se analisar a atividade do Gestor do Contrato para perceber como os métodos e ferramentas dos gestores de projetos baseados no Guia PMBOK® do PMI poderiam ser usados nesta função. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre os temas abordados, nomeadamente sobre "Gestão de Projetos", a "Contratação Pública" e a figura do "Gestor do Contrato", com o objetivo de se estabelecerem pontos de ligação entre a função do Gestor do Contrato e as áreas de conhecimento e processos do Guia PMBOK®. Com esta análise criou-se uma base de conhecimento que permite a criação de pontos de partida para múltiplos guias baseados no Guia PMBOK® para apoio ao Gestor de Contrato na execução da sua função.With the revision of the Public Procurement Legislation, the figure of the Contract Manager was introduced in order to ensure better management and execution of public contracts. In the unclear definition of the way of acting of this professional, it was intended to analyse the activity of the Contract Manager to understand how the methods and tools of project managers based on PMBOK® Guide of PMI could be used in this function. A bibliographic research on the topics covered was carried out, namely on "Project Management", "Public Procurement" and the figure of the "Contract Manager", in order to establish connection points between the Contract Manager's function and the knowledge areas and processes of the PMBOK® Guide. With this analysis a knowledge base was created that allows the creation of starting points for multiple guides based on the PMBOK® Guide to support the Contract Manager in the execution of his function
