A presente dissertação procura explorar a relação do sujeito nãoespecializado em questões de espaço com a arquitectura, nomeadamenteno que diz respeito à habitação. Por se entender que na habitaçãounifamiliar existe uma maior proximidade entre quem projecta e quemhabita o espaço, centrar-nos-emos na habitação plurifamiliar. Interessa,nesse sentido, perceber situações transversais, representativas do habitarcontemporâneo. Para isso, abordaremos o habitante nas suas vertentesfísica, sensível e perceptiva, enquanto indivíduo e enquanto colectivo.Assim, dar-se-á corpo às esferas individual, familiar e social quedeterminam as necessidades e características da relação do habitantecom o seu espaço doméstico.Será estabelecida, então, uma aproximação ao desenho projectual, apartir da qual reflectiremos acerca da correlação entre a configuração doespaço e os modos de habitar, mutuamente condicionantes. A subsequenteobservação de exemplos de distintos tipos de produção de habitaçãoterá por base os estudos antropológico, sociológico e fenomenológicorealizados e através dos quais se discorrerá sobre a habitação corrente ea habitação alternativa e respectivas influências no indivíduo.Por fim, serão apresentados projectos de instalações efémeras- das mais arquitectónicas às mais artísticas -, aqui sugeridos comopotenciadores de um mais completo entendimento da relação com oespaço. Pretende-se, com isso, aferir a possibilidade e pertinência de umpanorama de maior correspondência entre habitante e espaço habitado,com base no desenvolvimento das capacidades perceptivas do sujeito.The present dissertation aims to explore the relationship betweenthe non specialized individual and architecture, namely in terms ofhousing. Understanding that in single-family housing the one whodesigns and the one who inhabits the space are too close to each other,we will be focused in multi-family housing. It matters, in that sense, tounderstand broad scenarios, representative of contemporary dwelling.To do so, we will address the inhabitant in his physical, sensitive andperceptive aspects, as an individual and as a collective. And then theindividual, familiar and social elements which determine the needsand characteristics of the relationship between the inhabitant and hisdomestic space.It will then be established an approach to project design, upon whichwe will reflect about the correlation between space configuration andways of inhabiting. The subsequent observation of examples of differentkinds of housing production will be based on the anthropological,sociological and phenomenological studies made, which will lead to thethinking of current housing and alternative housing and their influenceson the individual.Finally, we will present projects of ephemeral installations - fromthe most architectonic to the most artistic - here suggested as enhancersof a more complete understanding of the relationship with space. It ismeant to check the possibility and pertinence of a state of closer matchbetween inhabitant and inhabited space, based on the development ofthe individual's perceptive skills
