Abstract
“Figures crossed by slow landscapes” is composed by records of slow meetings with paintings and sculptures of a set of authors whose work, for several reasons and in different ways, interests and involves me. The landscape, sometimes just evoked but always questioning the reality, is the guide element between the works of art. It becomes an interrogative experience and is considered as a starting-point and a source for discovery. The landscape implies and mediates the process of thinking. And, thus, it justifies the drawing of my feelings and thoughts moving through the works of Evelina Oliveira, José Emídio, José Rodrigues, Luís Melo, Márcia Luças… and the literary and musical references following them in a succession of accords of reaction and contemplation
