Conference Notes he conference, 2nd of which was held this year, started on 27 July 2017 and ended on 29 July 2017, in Aydin. Aydin Faculty of Economics - Adnan Menderes University hosted the conference and many methodological and empirical studies concerning economic, political, financial, social and governance developments and issues and their national and international impacts were presented. Full papers which are presented at the conference can be published in the Congress Full Paper Book which has an E-ISBN number. The conference also provided the writers with an opportunity to publish their papers in Adnan Menderes University Journal of Social Sciences Institute and Journal of Aydin Faculty of Economics.  The Vice Rector of ADU Recai Tunca gave the inaugural speech at the first day of the conference. After opening speech and music resital, a panel was held in Atatürk Congress Centre. Guest speakers was Haluk Günuğur from Lefke University and Çınar Özen from Ankara University. This panel was moderated by Yücel Bozdağlıoğlu, Dean of Aydin Faculty of Economics. The panel’s main theme was ‘European Union, Yesterday, Past, Present and Future’. In the afternoon sessions, keynote speakers informed attendants about ‘Recent Political Challenges in Europe with Migration, Refugee and Security Aspects’. Keynote speakers was Desiree Pangerc from CIELS University and Shpend Krasniqi from Institute for International Relations-Agora.  The other events of the first day were the parallel sessions, held in six Halls. Parallel sessions took place in Halls of Aydin Faculty of Economics. In three days nearly 250 papers both in Turkish and English were presented in the conference.  The paper titled as ‘The Relation Between Income Inequality And Economic System In Transition Economies’ which was authored by Hatice Küçükkaya and Yasemin Bozdağlıoğlu was presented by Hatice Küçükkaya on the second day of the conference. The aim of the paper was to investigate the relation between income inequality and economic system in countries through income inequality trends which have been examined. Küçükkaya, p.343-344. 344 economies between 1990-2010, the relation between income inequality and economic systems was introduced to the attendants in the section. Attendants were interested in the issue and they asked questions to learn about the theme further. In transition economies, as of the empirical results of the paper, the deterioration in the political rights of individuals leads to increase in income inequality, while otherwise for the civil freedoms. The common result of the three estimated models in the study, it is contemplated that if transition economies improve the rights of individuals, the income distribution could be transformed to a fairer one. In addition, it is expected that a rise in the annual growth rate of transition economies positively affect the income inequality.
