Using participatory action research, Native American research technicians conducted screening interviews to identify tribal members with disabilities and community needs. Participants received a Resource Guide manual at the conclusion of the community needs assessment, and were encouraged to contact appropriate health care agencies for services. The results of needs assessment include the incidence of disability, major types of disabilities, limitations and needs, employment status, and consumer concerns and barriers for Native Americans with disabilities.
