Pembibitan Manggis Secara Cepat Melalui Teknik Penyungkupan Akar Ganda Dan Pemberian Cendawan Mikoriza Arbuskula

Abstract

. Jawal, M. Anwarudin Syah, T. Purnama, D. Fatria, and F. Usman. 2007. Acceleration of Mangosteen Seedling Growth through CO2 Manipulation, Double Root System, and Arbuscular Mychorriza Fungi (AMF) Application. The research was conducted in the Screenhouse of Indonesian Tropical Fruit Research Institute from January to December 2003 using a split-split plot design with 3 replications. The main plot was CO2 manipulation (mangosteen seedlings were placed in the screenhouse with: 1) plastic cover and rice stalk as a base, and 2) without plastic cover. The subplot was rooting system (mangosteen seedling with 1 rooting system and 2 rooting system), and sub-subplot was arbuscular mycorrhizae fungi (mangosteen seedling with and without AMF application). The parameters observed were plant height, leaf number, leaf area, stem diameter, dry weight of root, and dry weight of plant. The results of the experiment indicated that mangosteen seedling put in a plastic cover growth faster compared to uncovered seedling. The rooting system, 1 and 2 rooting system, did not show any significant different in stimulating mangosteen seedling growth, whereas application of AMF could stimulate mangosteen seedling growth
