The Visegrad Group celebrated its 25th anniversary in February 2016. Established as an initiative of three post-soviet countries from the Central and Eastern Europe region, this cooperation has gone over the years through a number of challenges. Not only by the accession to the European Union has proved its relevance. This diploma thesis deals with the scope and the strength of this regional cooperation. The objective of the thesis is to evaluate to what extent the Visegrad Group countries utilize this platform to promote common interests within the European Union.
