The Second Person File. 180.http://digitalcommons.liberty.edu/second_person/180 THE ROLE PLAYED BY THE ENTIRE TRINITY  IN THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST  The thrilling truth is all members of the blessed Trinity were involved in the birth, death  and resurrection of Jesus Christ! • Regarding His birth:  A. The Father “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law” (Gal. 4:4).  B. The Son  “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God” (Heb. 10:4-7).  C. The Holy Spirit  “And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS … Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:30, 31, 34, 35). • Regarding His death:  A. The Father “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand” (Isa. 53:10).  B. The Son “No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father” (John 10:18).  C. The Holy Spirit “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Heb. 9:14). • Regarding His resurrection:  A. The Father   “Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father,    who raised him from the dead;”  (Gal. 1:1).  B. The Son   “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again”    (John 10:17).  C. The Holy Spirit “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Rom. 8:11).
