The Measurement of Top Quark Mass in Proton-Proton Collisions in the ATLAS Detector

Abstract

The decay length technique of top quark mass measurement and its possible use in the ATLAS detector were studied. The choice of parametrization describing the distribution of bottom hadron transverse decay length was investigated and main sources of uncertainties were identied. For this purpose 'dilepton' channel data samples with varying top quark masses were generated using full simulation in the Athena framework
