Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Pkn Ditinjau Dari Sikap Demokrasi Pada Para Siswa Kelas X Di SMA Negeri 1 Petang

Abstract

This study aimed at finding out : the effect of CTL upon learning achievement in Civics Education viewed from democracy attitude of the class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Petang. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Petang in the second semester in the school year 2011/2012. This study belongs to experiment using non-equivalent post test only control group design. The sampling was carried out by random sampling. The data collected were tested and the questionnaire was analyzed by two-way ANAVA with F-test. The results showed that (1) Civics Education learning achievements of students through the contextual teaching learning is better than the learning achievements of students through the conventional learning model in SMA Negeri 1 Petang. The mean score of the students through CTL was 29.61 while that of those who studied through conventional learning model was 24.31, the two-tailed testing result (Fobserved = 30.229 > F (0.05x)( 1.68) = 3.99, (2) there was an interaction effect between the result of the implementation of learning model and democracy attitude in the effect upon learning achievement in Civics Education in the students of SMA Negeri 1 Petang with Fobserved = 166.073 > Ftable at 0.05 level of significance = 3.99. (3) there was a significance difference in learning achievement in Civics Education of the students who studied through CTL and that of those who studied through conventional learning model in the students with high democracy attitude. The mean score of the students through CTL was 36,22 while that of those who studied through conventional learning model was 18.67, the Tukey test showed that Qobserved = 18.402 > Qtable = 2.83, and (4) there was a significance difference in learning achievement in Civics Education between the student through CTL and that of those who studied through conventional learning model in the students with low democracy attitude. The average of the students through CTL was 23.00 while that of those who studied through conventional learning model was 30.06, the Tukey test showed that Qobserved = 7,400 > Q table = 2.83. Based on the findings, that one of the implications of this study was that CTL model can be used as an innovative and progressive alternatives in the teaching of Civics Education at SMA level
