Pengetahuan Guru Tentang Nilai-nilai Karakter Pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

: The main goal of research was to identify character values in the physical education (PE) teaching and learning. This was a descriptive research study using a mixed quantitative and quailtative approach. The population consisted of 144 teachers and 60 PE teachers were selected as the sample using a cluster random sampling as the sampling technique. The instruments used were observation sheet and interview guide. The result of the research shows that: (1) the PE teachers\u27 pedagogical competence in writing Lesson Plans (RPP) containing character vision was still low; (2) the PE teachers\u27 understanding about character teaching and learning was good; (3) the description about character inclusion in PE practice in elementary school was not clear; (4) the prototype character values at PE comprised: cooperation, sportsmanship, honesty, justice, care, responsibility, respect, firmness, friendliness, competitiveness, perseverance, togetherness, empathy, and resistance
