: Development of Creative Industries at Batu City (Study of Creative Industries in Handicraft Sector at Batu City). Development of Creative Industries in Batu City is requiring more innovative and high creativity from human resource. The innovation and creativity that arise in the community are what makes the creative industries sector has an important role in the economic development of a region. The findings in the field of creative industries sector suggest that the craft able to improve the welfare of Batu society. Creativity of the industry actors can improve product results which more innovation. Creativity of industry actors can be enhanced by training, coaching, and also monitoring that is conducted by Dinas Koperindag. Factors that also support a role of Department of Cooperatives , UKM , Industry and Trade (Diskoperindag) Batu, the quality of human resources industry it self, and also from potency that available in Batu City. Then, the obstacle such as lack of access to capital, lack of raw materials and low-quality marketing infrastructure. The development of Creative Industries in Batu expected to be in accordance with RENSTRA and be able to provide and improve training and education that benefit the industry in developing its industrial businesses
