aluminum alloy 6061 (nominal composition: 1.0 Mg, 
0.6 Si, 0.25 Cu, 0.25 Cr, remainder Al) has been pre-
sented in a handbook prepared by the Department of 
Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy, Syracuse 
University Research Institute, under contract to 
Marshall Space Flight Center. 
This "Materials Data Handbook, Aluminum Alloy 
6061" includes data on the properties of the alloy at 
cryogenic, ambient, and elevated temperatures, and 
other pertinent engineering information required for 
the design and fabrication of components and equip-
ment utilizing this alloy. The handbook information
