Improve the search sensitivity for a light stop quarks by selecting ISR topologies

Abstract

This summer student project has been dedicated to the search for a light stop particle in the compressed spectrum with the ATLAS experiment. I got the opportunity to learn how analysing MC simulated physics data using the ROOT software, study the theory and analysis strategy for this particular search, and finally do some work to contribute to this analysis
