Immuno-Epidemiological Modeling of InfectiousDiseases: A careful attempt at a reviewMaia Martcheva1,*1Department of Mathematics, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL 32611maia@ufl.eduThis talk introduces the concept of multi-scale modeling as applied to infectious diseases. The talk concen-trates at the interface of coupling within-host and between-host dynamics of pathogens. We discuss why usesuch models and what questions can be addresses by such models. We review the basic modeling techniquesin this context known up to date. We focus more on the ODE, PDE immuno-epidemiological modeling. Thetalk is meant as an introduction to the topic.
