School of Music Programs. 413.https://ir.library.illinoisstate.edu/somp/413He has performed with the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, the Colorado Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, Neu Wesphälische Philharmonie, the Belgian Radio Symphony, the Essen Philharmonic, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, and the Toledo Symphony.  He currently performs as principal bassoonist of the Peoria Symphony and the Heartland Festival Orchestra.  Since1986 he has been a faculty member at Illinois State University where he is Professor of Bassoon.  Sharing the joys of shared Emmy, Tony, Grammy, & Gran Prix du Disque awards, Broadway veteran Barbara Hedlund enjoys an active, varied musical career as orchestral & chamber musician, solo & recording artist, university professor, arts administrator, music editor and publisher, orchestral librarian, adjudicator, associate producer for Public Radio & Television, and concert producer.   Her current affiliations include Principal Cellist for the Champaign Urbana Symphony, Danville Symphony, Prairie Ensemble, Sugar Creek Festival, & Heartland Festival Orchestra; Director of 1st Choice Music Services & VCello Music Publications; Personnel Manager for the Heartland Festival & Prairie Ensemble Chamber Orchestras; Instructor & Administrator for the University of Illinois OLLI program, Eureka College Strings Festivals, Cellobration Studios; and as senior founding member of the Urbana Public Arts Commission. Sarah Gentry received music performance degrees from Louisiana State University, Yale University, and the Doctor of Music degree from Indiana University. Dr. Gentry performs as Concertmaster of the Heartland Festival Orchestra, voted “Professional Orchestra of the Year 2011,” by the Illinois Council of Orchestras. She has also held Concertmaster positions with Opera Illinois, Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana, Sugar Creek Music Festival, and served as Associate Concertmaster for the Peoria Symphony Orchestra from 1992-2000.  She is a Professor of Violin at Illinois State University where she has served as a faculty member since 1992.   Pianist, Momoko Gresham graduated from Toho School of Music in Tokyo, Japan and earned a master's degree from  the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.  She is a staff accompanist at Illinois Wesleyan University and often collaborates with faculty at universities around Central Illinois.   John Dee is the Bill A. Nugent Endowed Professor of Music Performance and Professor of Oboe at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Professor Dee was Principal Oboe of the Florida Philharmonic and Florida Grand Opera Orchestras (Miami) for over twenty years. He was Oboe Professor at the University of Miami and Harid Conservatory of Music (Boca Raton), Principal Oboe of The Florida Orchestra (Tampa) and Civic Orchestra of Chicago. He has received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the National Endowment for the Arts several times and his oboe students have won significant professional performance and teaching positions throughout the world.   Michael Dicker holds music performance degrees from  UCLA, University of Michigan, and the Juilliard School.  His teachers include Norman Herzberg, Bert Gassman, Harold Goltzer, Mitchell Lurie, and Mehli Mehta.
