Abstract
In an essay published in the Anuario de Estudos Literarios Galegos in 2006, I reflected on the possibilities of the ‘postnational’ as a point of departure for a theoretical and methodological reassessment of Galician cultural history. The present essay returns to the questions raised in that article from a more critical perspective, exploring the potential for Galician Studies of an alternative model of ‘relational readings’ inspired by the work of the Caribbean scholars Edouard Glissant and Stuart Hall
