人们都熟悉这种现象,当语言的印刷或书写材料出现在有经验的阅读者眼前时,他会不自觉地,自动地去阅读并了解其意义,甚至在不想读它的情况下也是如此。例如在地铁等侯乘车时,会自动地阅读地铁两旁的广告,这说明人们对词和词义的知觉是自动的,甚至带有强迫性质。1935年Stroop 曾以人们对词义强迫性知觉为课题,研究了词与书写词用的不同颜色(“红”字用绿墨水写)之间的干扰作用。例如,当呈现一个“红”词,要求人只注意墨水的颜色特征而忽略词义时,由于对词义知觉的自动倾向,颜色的特征会对词
