Abstract

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is a leading cement company in the regional and even global level because it supported the existence of a reliable and competent employees. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the mechanisms of selection based on human capital theory approach at the company. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection through interviews and documentation process. The results showed that the selection mechanism in the company is the process of selecting applicants based on qualification standards set for the right candidate and placed in the right position as well. The Company considers that the employee owned a valuable asset as an investment, therefore, necessary for proper management. Human Capital Master Plan is the policy of the company as a blueprint in the process of managing employees through training and development of employee competencies, so the company has a superior human capital
