Abstract
This research focuses on agenda of capital city media regarding salience issue and valence issue. To deal with that issue, researcher refers to the concept of media agenda in agenda setting theory. By using content analysis method toward four newspapers (Kompas, Media Indonesia, Republika, and Rakyat Merdeka), this research indicates the truth of assumption in agenda setting theory: what media regards as important will be regarded as important one by audiences. For further studies, those ones (salience issue and valence issue) should be tested (T-test and studying more about the cause of both side coverage principle abandoning in media agenda). It should be conducted to develop agenda setting theory especially about media agenda study
