Kekuatan Karakter Dan Kebahagiaan Pada Suku Minang

Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure correlation between character power and happiness inMinang ethnic. This research is using quantitave approach and questionnairre for collectingthe data. Multiple regression is using for the data analysis. Participants of this research is165 Minang people who live in West Sumatera and Jadebotabek region whose age from 18 to55 years old. This research is using happiness scale modified constructed from Seligman'stheiry (2000) and VIA-IS from Seligman and Patterson (2004). The result shows significancekontribution from power character such as bravery, vitality and hope to happiness. Beside,five dominant power characters can bee seen from Minang people are gratitude, kindness,fairness, integrity, and citizenship
