Pengaruh Penambahan Senyawa Acetone Pada Bahan Bakar Bensin Terhadap Emisi Gas Buang

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of adding the acetone compound in gasoline, against exhaust gas emissions from one cylinder 4 stroke engine which combustion chamber volume is 100 cc. Testing is done by adding Acetone 1 ml, 2 ml, and 3 ml into the fuel tank of 1000 ml. From the research, it was found that with the addition of 1 ml of each compound in 1000 ml Acetone gasoline, then a percentage of the content of CO gas that is formed on the wane or decreased. In that addition, measurable levels of HC were also reduced, or in other words the combustion process to be better. Hydrocarbon (HC) that were measured in the exhaust gas emissions, showed that fuel was not burned out in the combustion process
