海纳•穆勒被后世誉为继布莱希特之后20世纪德国最重要的戏剧家，他对戏剧最突出的贡献是开创了“组合剧”的剧作法，并带动了剧场艺术的革新。“组合剧”选取历史事件、戏剧经典、社会新闻、荒诞想象等各种素材进行文本处理，置于同一舞台演绎，没有连贯的情节主线，无所谓高潮或突转，角色的塑造也是模糊残缺的，纷繁的场景看似独立而跳跃，实则彼此指涉，语言凝练含蓄，令观众对舞台产生思索。本文以穆勒的“组合剧”为研究对象，从其与德国戏剧文化传统的渊源、剧作思想和剧场形态三个方面进行分析。Heiner Müller is considered as the most important German playwright since Brecht.
