Межвузовский сборник по истории духовной культуры дореволюционного Урала является очередным выпуском продолжающегося издания «Вопросы истории Урала». Он подготовлен участниками научных археографических экспедиций, организованных Свердловской секцией Уральского отделения Археографической комиссии АН СССР и лабораторией полевой археографии кафедры истории СССР (досоветского периода) Уральского университета в 1974—1978 гг. на территории Свердловской, Пермской, Челябинской, Кировской и Курганской областей. В сборнике рассматриваются вопросы изучения рукописной традиции и памятники крестьянской старообрядческой литературы XVI — первой половины XIX в.; обзоры собраний рукописных и старопечатных книг государственных книгохранилищ и частных собраний; помещены описания крюковых певческих рукописей и методики обучения древнерусскому певческому искусству, а также статьи о развитии народного образования на Урале в XVIII — начале XX в. Сборник рассчитан на преподавателей вузов и школ, краеведов, архивных работников и студентов исторических факультетов.The collection summarized consists of papers devoted to the history of culture of the prerevolutionary Urals. The papers of the collection are based upon new sources found during the period of 1974—1977 in archeaographical quests of Research Groups of the Urals State University. One of the papers is the first-hand information on discovery of the unique XVI century incunabula of Moscow and Lvov Acts of Apostles by Ivan Fedorov, and the anonymous Gospel of 1558— 1559 period. In the collection one may find an analysis of proprietory inscriptions on books of the XVI—XVII centuries, a paper on the history of the library collection of N. A. Demidov the renowned owner of metallurgic works in the Urals, and a paper on ancient Russian musical manuscripts (hook-like music) in the Urals. Several paper are devoted to the history of Sectarianism in the Urals and Siberia, and to the authoritative role played by Maxim Greek. In Sectarian polemic literature of the XVII—XVIII centuries, and to the participation of peasants-sectarians in the rebellions of the 40s of the XIX century. There is a paper on "the history of public education in the Urals in the 'XVIII and the beginning of the XX century.
