Abstract
The article deepens in the analysis of the relations that some 20 th - and 21 st -century artists
established with nature, the body or their own creations, starting from a no-subjectivity thought.
Taking the concept of «placenta» as the philosophical basis, a concept developed by the German
philosopher Peter Sloterdijk in the first volume of his trilogy Spheres, a path from the gynecological to the post-gynecological or nonobjective is followed, interpreting from this perspective some
works by artists such as Duchamp, Morris, Kapoor, Abramovic, Metson, Mendieta or Alberto
Carneiro. The author will show the gradual loss of subjectivity, with the consequent creation of
spaces of intimacy or proximity, and the dissolution of the big subject-artist of modernity, who no
longer finds refuge in the mother-earth totalitarian systems, but in the other-artistic as placentary
double, self-complementing and immunizer
