Abstract

The omasum is the forgotten fore-stomach. Omasal torsion has never been reported as a primary cause of clinical disease though omasal dilatation and displacement secondary to vagal indigestion, dietary factors and abomasal volvulus have been reported. Our case presented as an omasal displacement and torsion following surgical repair of a left displaced abomasum due to increased gastro-intestinal peristalsis linked to a fixed point where the abomasum was stitched to the abdominal wall
