Die forstliche Standortskartierung der Staatswälder in Rheinland-Pfalz aus den 1960er Jahren gibt einen detaillierten Eindruck von den potentiellen (ca. 650 ha) und rezenten Bruchflächen (ca. 150 ha) am Hunsrück-Hauptkamm.
