Young women and interculturality: a study of subjectivities

Abstract

This study employed a sociology of education/youth perspective alongside theories of subjectivity to analyse interculturality in girls’ everyday lives. Findings suggest that while girls from minoritised backgrounds engage with interculturality in their daily practices, the hegemonies that privilege majoritised girls serve to limit their respectful and equitable engagement with others.<br /
