Abstrak.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penampilan reproduksi sapi potong lokal betina. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Kota Jantho Kabupaten Aceh Besar Provinsi Aceh yang meliputi 5 desa terpilih , yaitu desa Jantho Makmur, Desa Baroh, desa Terben,desa Jalin, desa Trans Jalin dan . Penelitian dilakukan selama satu bulan (1 Maret sampai 31 Maret 2018).Metode survei digunakan dalam penelitian ini.Penentuan responden adalah dengan menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling yaitu mengambil sampel dengan persyaratan minimal peternak memelihara satu ekor sapi Aceh yang telah beranak dua kali.Sebagai responden ditetapkan sebanyak 20 orang peternak. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja reproduksi sapi Aceh baik, rataan umur kawin pertama adalah 16,6 bulan , jarak beranak,15,3 bulan, pedet disapih pada umur 5,3 bulan dan umur kawin kembali setelah beranak 6,4 bulan. This study aims to determine the characterization of reproductive performance of local beef cattle. This study was conducted in subdistrict of Jantho, Aceh Besar districk of Aceh Province covering five villages of desa Jantho Makmur, Desa Baroh, desa Terben,desa Jalin, desa Trans Jalin. The study was conducted for one month (March 1 to March 31, 2018). Survey method was used in this research. Determination of respondent is by using method of Purposive Sampling that is taking sample with minimum requirement of breeder to keep one local beef cattle that have gave birthtwo times. As the respondents set as many as 20 farmers. From the results can be concluded that the performance of local beef cattle reproductive is good, average age of first mating is 6,4 month, calving interval 15,3 month, calf weaned at age 5,3 month, age of remating after calving 6,4 bulan.
