The study was conducted on 55 second grade students of SMA Laboratorium Unsyiah, Banda Aceh. The data measurement of morphological awareness and reading comprehension were collected throuh the test of morphological awareness test and Florida comprehensive assessment test (FCAT). Pearson product moment correlation coefficient employing SPSS 20 was run to explore the relationship between these variables. Based on the finding, it was revealed that the students were on level four of reading achievement level. This indicated that the students answered many questions correctly, but they seemed to be troubled by question that has more chalenging content. The result also showed that there was a significant relationship between morphological awareness and reading comprehension. The correlation was found to be 0, 527 at significant level of 0, 01 and falls in moderate level. Finally, the finding of this study led to a suggestion to include morphological awareness in learning reading comprehension
