ELECTRONIC THESIS AND DISSERTATION UNSYIAHTITLEKOMUNIKASI POLITIK GAM-RI PADA PERUNDINGAN HELSINKIABSTRACTABSTRAKPenelitian ini berjudul â€œKomunikasi Politik GAM-RI Pada Perundingan Helsinkiâ€•. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahuibagaimana komunikasi politik yang terjadi antara GAM-RI pada perundingan di Helsinki Tahun 2005. Perundingan Helsinki hinggamencapai perdamaian yang diwujudkan melalui MoU Helsinki merupakan sebuah fenomena sosial, khususnya sebuah fenomenakomunikasi politik yang baik dalam bernegosiasi, hingga akhirnya terwujudlah sebuah perdamaian. Komunikasi politik dilakukanbaik secara formal maupun non formal.  Teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Empati dan Homofili, dimana kedua belah pihak dalamberkomunikasi melakukan empati dan menemukan kesamaan-kesamaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatifdengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa wawancara semi terstruktur dan studidokumentasi. Teknik pemilihan informan yang digunakan adalah teknik purposif. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data secarainteraktif, maka diperoleh hasil bahwasanya negosiasi dibangun melalui enam tahapan, yaitu: persiapan; kontak pertama;konfrontasi; konsiliasi; solusi; dan pasca negosiasi. Dalam bernegosiasi kedua belah pihak memiliki kesamaan-kesamaan yangdapat membuat kedua belah pihak saling mempercayai dan terciptanya sebuah komunikasi politik yang efektif. Kesamaan tersebutdiantaranya kemiripan etnis dan latar belakang organisasi. Efektifitas penggunaan empati dan homofili sangat mempengaruhi prosesdan hasil negosiasi. Kata kunci: Komunikasi politik, GAM-RI, Negosiasi.ABSTRACTThis study entitled "Political Communication GAM-RI In the Helsinki negotiations". The purpose of this study to find out howpolitical communication that occurs between GAM-RI at talks in Helsinki 2005. Helsinki talks to achieve peace which is realizedthrough the MoU is a social phenomenon, a phenomenon particularly good political communication in negotiations, until realizationof a peace. Political communication is done both formal and non-formal. The theory used is the theory of empathy and homophile,in which both sides in communicating perform empathy and find similarities. The research method uses a qualitative approach withdescriptive research. Data collection tools in this study of semi-structured interviews and documentation study. Informant selectiontechnique used is purposive technique. Based on the results of data processing in an interactive, results are obtained that negotiationbuilt through six stages: preparation; The first contact; confrontation; conciliation; solutions; and post-negotiation. In thenegotiations the two sides have similarities that can make both sides mutual trust and the creation of an effective politicalcommunication. The similarities among ethnic similarities and organizational background. Effective use of empathy and homophilegreatly affect the process and outcome of the negotiations.Keywords: Political Communication, GAM-RI, Negotiations.
