ABSTRACT Until recently sexually transmitted infections is still a problem in the fieldof health, social and economic development in various countries. In somecountries stated that the provision of an intensive counseling program wouldreduce the prevalence of sexually transmitted infections. However, in most of theincidence of sexually transmitted infections are still relatively high. Most peoplewith sexually transmitted infections are teens ages 15-29 years, but there are alsocases in infants in because of her mother contracted while in the womb or atbirth. High incidence of sexually transmitted infections, especially in theadolescent age group one of the main causes is the knowledge level of adolescentswho are still relatively low, this will ultimately affect adolescent attitudes towardssexually transmitted infections. This study is a descriptive study, which aim toobtain information on knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in MAN ModelBanda Aceh against sexually transmitted infections with the approach used is thecross sectional study. The population in this study includes all students in MANModel Banda Aceh. While the number of samples taken for this study were 90people, which was taken by stratified random sampling technique. The sampleswere then distributed proportionally based on grade level. The data was collectedusing a questionnaire and a descriptive analysis. Test results of students' level ofknowledge and attitudes in MAN Model Banda Aceh to get a sexually transmittedinfection in the majority of the students' knowledge in MAN Model in Banda Acehthat is equal to either category (75.6%), as well as to the attitude of the gain isstill arriving in either category that is equal to (77.8%).
