Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruhperbandingan lama pemeraman anaerob limbah sapi lokal terhadap kualitas biogas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di University FarmStasiun Riset 2 Universitas Syiah Kuala, Ie Seâ€™um, Kabupaten Aceh Besar yang berlangsung  selama 67 hari (15 Maret - 22 Mei2014). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan masing-masing 5 ulangan. Perlakuanlama pemeraman anaerob yaitu A: 4 minggu; B: 6 minggu dan C: 8 minggu. Sampel feses yang digunakan adalah feses sapi lokalyang terdapat di University Farm Stasiun Riset 2 Universitas Syiah Kuala, Ie Seâ€™um, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Parameter yangdiamati ini adalah pH bahan isian sebelum dan setelah difermentasi, total berat slurry setelah difermentasi dan kualitas biogas yangdihasilkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan lama pemeraman berpengaruh menurunkan pH dan total berat solidslurry dalam biodigester setelah pembentukan biogas, serta meningkatkan kualitas biogas. Namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilaipH awal bahan baku isian feses sapi. Bahan baku feses sapi lokal menghasilkan biogas dalam penelitian ini pada hari ke-30 danlama pemeraman anaerob limbah sapi lokal yang terbaik terhadap kualitas biogas terdapat pada perlakuan C yaitu 8 minggu. This study aimed  to examine the effect of long comparison oflocal cattle waste anaerobic curing to quality biogas. This research was conducted at the University Farm Research Station 2University of  Syiah Kuala, Se'um Ie, Aceh Besar for 67 days (15 March is to 2014 May 22). The research was conducted by meansof experiments using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications each. Period of fermentation wereA: 4 weeks; B: 6 weeks and C: 8 weeks. Parameters observed in this study were the pH before after fermentation, the total weight ofthe slurry after fermented and quality of biogas. The results showed that the longer difference of  fermentation period effectedlowering the pH and total solid weight of the slurry in the biodigester, as well as improve the quality of biogas. However, no effecton the initial pH value of the raw material of cow feces. The raw materials of local to produce biogas from cow feces was producedafter 30 day of fermentation. The high quality of biogas was observed on treatment after 8 week of fermentation.Key words : biogas, fermentation, feces, cattle.
