This article is accentuated on the civilizational significance of the first industrial metals discovery, it reveals the prerequisites for the development of ores and the main stages of metals mastering connected with centuries-old experience of the previous mining activities of mankind. The authors suggest the hypothesis that the metallurgy was born in the depths of sustainable communities of archaic miners, which were motivated by not only utilitarian but also sacral factors.
