Modelling of deformation of smooth specimen and specimen with crack at dynamic creep

Abstract

The influence of shape ratio and density of inclusions on creep, dynamic creep and crack tip opening displacement of AlMg6 alloy are studied by the finite element method. The effect of the maximum stresses on the main characteristics of deformation and material damage is revealed. The influence of the cyclic component on the fracture of inclusions and creep rupture decreases with increasing maximum stress. The calculated creep strain is in satisfactory agreement with that obtained experimentally
