Digital humanities under the lens: open research and scientific evaluation

Abstract

Tanto para las Digital Humanities como para las Humanidades Digitales, el core de la investigación son los proyectos que se expresan a través de repositorios y bases de datos, ediciones digitales académicas, blogs, o bibliotecas digitales disponibles, en su amplísima mayoría, de forma gratuita y online. La investigación abierta parece haber nacido con las Digital Humanities, aunque poco se haya hablado hasta ahora de ella. Una evaluación adecuada y equitativa de la investigación científica en Humanidades Digitales colaborará con la construcción del campo científico y el nuevo paradigma del conocimiento en la que estas se imbrican, como la de la investigación o ciencia abierta.Both for the Digital Humanities and for the Humanidades Digitales, the core of the research are the projects that are expressed through repositories and databases, academic digital editions, blogs, or digital libraries available, in their vast majority, free of charge and online. Open research seems to have been born with the Digital Humanities, although little has been said about it until now. An adequate and equitable evaluation of scientific research in Digital Humanities will collaborate with the construction of the scientific field and the new paradigm of knowledge in which these are imbricated, such as that of research or open science.Fil: del Rio, María Gimena.
