El futuro de la humanidad en la filosofía política de Giambattista Vico

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo consiste en explicar la idea viquiana del futuro del ser humano desde una perspectiva filosó- fico-política. El artículo comienza con un análisis del significado del concepto de humanidad en la Ciencia nueva (1744). Luego este análisis es conectado con el problema político del futuro y con la definición viquiana de filosofía política. La conclusión es que la práctica de la Ciencia de Vico contribuye a desarrollar una mente heroica.The aim of this paper is to explain Giambattista Vico’s idea of the future of human being in a political philosophical point of view. The paper begins with an analysis of the meaning of humanity in the New Science (1744). After that, this analysis is related with the political problem of the future and with Vico’s definition of political philosophy. The conclusion is that the praxis of Vico’s Science contributes to develop an heroic mind
