Abstract

En el presente artículo se persigue estudiar cómo la Grandeza de España buscó en lahistoria y la argumentación histórica un lugar desde el cual reivindicar su identidad y suforma de comprender el papel constitutivo de la Grandeza en el gobierno de la monarquíaen los conflictos ceremoniales. Con este objetivo, se ofrece un análisis del memorial delduque de Arcos a propósito de la equiparación de los duques y pares de Francia con losGrandes de España a inicios del reinado de Felipe V.In this article, I attempt to study how the Grandeeship pursued in Hstory and within the historical argumentation a place from where to vindicate its identity and its way to understand the constitutive role of the Grandeeship in the monarchy’s government during the ceremonial conflicts.
