The role of foreign direct investment in Latvia's economic development in a time period of 2014-2018.

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Ārvalstu tiešo investīciju loma Latvijas ekonomikas attīstībā no 2014.-2018.gadam” tiek pētīta ārvalstu tiešo investīciju teorētiskie un praktiskie aspekti - to vispārējā būtība un motīvi, piesaistes politika Latvijā analizējot attiecīgo valsts institūciju iniciatīvu ekonomiskās labklājības sekmēšanā, kā arī investīciju dinamikas analīze pa gadiem. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir vērtēt ĀTI lomu Latvijas ekonomikas attīstībā balstoties uz teorētiskajām nostādnēm, attīstības tendencēm un dinamikas rādītājiem par to plūsmām laika periodā no 2014.-2018.gadam. Darbā izvirzītie uzdevumi ir balstīti uz investīciju teorētisko aspektu un statistisko datu pētniecību, potenciālo problēmu un risku analīzi, darbības jomā strādājošo ekspertu interviju, kā arī secinājumu un priekšlikumu izstrādi ņemot vērā darba gaitā pētītos un analizētos rezultātus. Darba praktiskajā daļā darba autore izmanto kvalitatīvo jeb neskaitlisko pētījuma metodi, precīzāk, ekspertu interviju ar divām valsts iestādēm Latvijā. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no trīs nodaļām, secinājumiem, priekšlikumiem un 4 pielikumiem. Kopumā darbu veido 69 lapaspuses, kur pētījuma izstrādē ir izmantoti 49 zinātniskās literatūras avoti. Atslēgvārdi: ārvalstu tiešās investīcijas, ekonomiskā attīstība, Latvijas Investīciju un attīstības aģentūra, Ekonomikas Ministrija, investīciju dinamika.Bachelor’s thesis „The role of foreign direct investment in Latvia’s economic development in a time period of 2014-2018” studies theoretical and practical aspects of foreign direct investment – its general nature and motives, Latvia’s policy analysis of foreign direct investment and the initiative of the relevant state institutions in promoting economic prosperity, as well as analysis of the dynamics of investments over the five years. The aim of thesis is to assess the role of foreign direct investment in Latvia’s economic development on the basis of theoretical guidelines, development trends and dynamics indicators on their flows over the period of 2014 – 2018. The tasks presented in thesis are based on research into theoretical aspects of investment and statistical data, analysis of potential challenges and risks, interviews of experts working in the field, and the development of conclusions and recommendations, taking into account the results studied and analysed during the process of thesis. In the practical part of thesis, the author uses the qualitative reseach method of the study, more precisely one – to – one interview with two state institutions in Latvia. The bachelor’s thesis consists of three chapters, conclusions, recommendations and 4 appendices. Thesis in total consists of 69 pages ,whereby are used 49 resources.
