Acute calculous cholecystitis caused by Candida lusitaniae: an unusual causative organism in a patient without underlying malignancy

In the present case, we report that acute calculous cholecystitis was caused by Candida lusitaniae in a 33-year-old patient without underlying malignancy. According to our review of the literature, this is the first report of acute cholecystitis caused by C. lusitaniae
