A conceptual study on gender inequality for women managers

Abstract

Geçmişten günümüze kadın ve erkeğin doğası gereği toplum içinde farklı rolleri üstlenmektedir. Erkeğin toplumsal açıdan değerlendirildiğinde ev dışında bulunduğu, kadının ise ev içinde sorumluluklar aldığı bilinen gerçekler arasında yer almaktadır. Bu durumda toplumsal konum açısından erkeğin ön planda yer aldığı ve kadının arka planda kalmış olduğu görülmektedir. Toplumda kadının ilk önce eviyle, çocuklarıyla ve ailesiyle ilgilenmesi erkeğin ise ilk önce evin maddi ihtiyaçlarını karşılaması gerektiği asil görevleri olarak bilinmektedir. Kadın ve erkeğe verilen bu sorumluluklar nedeniyle kadınlar çalışma hayatında ikinci planda yer almaktadır. Kadının iş hayatı açısından kendisini ifade etmesi uzun zaman almıştır. Yapılan bu çalışma Dünya ve Türkiye’deki kadın yöneticiler açısından toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliği göz önünde bulundurularak literatüre ışık tutma amacıyla derleme bir çalışma olma niteliği taşımaktadır.From the past to the present, women and men have different roles in society due to their nature. In this case, it is seen that the man is in the foreground in terms of social position and the woman is in the background. It is known in the society that the woman should first take care of her house, her children and her family, and the man must first meet the financial needs of the house. Because of these responsibilities given to women and men, women are at the second place in working life. It took a long time for the woman to express herself in terms of business life. This compilation work done in terms of women managers in the world and in Turkey taking into consideration gender inequality literature in order to shed light does not have the quality of work
