In the narrative, every unnecessary detail does not thus appear as an obstacle; it intervenes to slow down the progress, never to stop the narrative flow. If the extreme attention carried retail confronts with the perception of things, it is to mean that their essence can be never seized with certainty, giving itself in fact as eminently hypothetical
