Retinal Blood Vessels System Segmentation based on Maximum Principal Curvature Method

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit algoritmus v MATLABu pro automatizovanou segmentaci retinálního cévního systému na základě metody maximum principal curvature a následné testování všech dostupných datasetů tímto navrhovaným algoritmem. Nejdůležitější částí této práce je tedy návrh algoritmu a jeho následné objektivní hodnocení. Vytvořený algoritmus byl testován jak na datasetu snímků poskytnutých Oční klinikou Fakultní nemocnice v Ostravě, tak na snímcích z veřejně přístupných databází DRIVE a STARE.The aim of this thesis is to create an algorithm in MATLAB for automatic segmentation of the retinal vascular system based on the method of maximum principal curvature and subsequent testing of all available datasets by this proposed algorithm. Therefore, the most important part of this work is design of the algorithm and its subsequent objective evaluation. The created algorithm was tested both on the dataset of images provided by Ophthalmologic clinic in Ostrava and on images from the publicly accessible DRIVE and STARE databases.450 - Katedra kybernetiky a biomedicínského inženýrstvívýborn
