Abstract
Geri kalmış yörelerin kalkınması için kırsal turizm önemli bir araçtır. Son dönemlerde dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de kırsal turizm sürekli olarak gündeme gelmektedir. Kırsal turizm birçok özelliği ile yöre ekonomisine katkı ve istihdam sağlamaktadır. Adıyaman sahip olduğu turizm potansiyeli ile önemli bir konumdadır. Turizmde marka kent olma özelliği ile de bu tescillenmiştir. Tarihsel ve kültürel birçok eseri bünyesinde bulundurması yanında, kırsal turizm arz potansiyeli yönünden de büyük bir zenginliğe sahiptir. Ancak bu durum yeterince bilinmemektedir. Adıyaman’ın bu özelliğinin gündeme getirilmesiyle yerli ve yabancı turistler için daha önce keşfedilmemiş alanların keşfedilerek yöre, bölge ve ülke ekonomisine kazandırılmasında kırsal turizm önemli rol oynayacaktır. Bu çalışmada, gelir düzeyi en düşük iller arasında yer alan Adıyaman'ın turizm gelirlerinin artırılması için kırsal turizm uygulamalarının önemi üzerinde durulmuş, bu amaçla Adıyaman'ın kırsal turizm potansiyeli ortaya konulmuştur.Rural tourism is an important tool for the development of backward regions. As in recent years in our country, as in the world, the rural tourism is constantly on the agenda. With this feature, rural tourism contributes employment and contribution to the local economy. Adıyaman has an important position with its tourism potential. This feature has been registered with the city tourism brand. Having many historical and cultural artifacts, it has a great wealth for holding the supply potential of rural tourism. However, this condition is poorly understood. After this issue of Adıyaman is revived, rural tourism will have a great role in being very important for precincts, region and country economy by exploring the unexplored areas for domestic and foreign tourists. In this study, the importance of rural tourism administrations are dwelled on in order to increase the tourism income of Adıyaman, which is among the provinces having the lowest level of income, and for this purpose rural tourism potential of Adıyaman is put forward
