Article is devoted to an otkaznichestvo subject from newborn children which is part of a problem of a social orphanhood. The author points to scale of the problem which captured many countries of the modern world in volume to force and Russia. The attention to interdisciplinary character of a problem, as for experts in the field of medicine, and sociology, psychology, a demography, social work is paid. In work definition of the main of category is given, many reasons and factors of this phenomenon are specified, the extremely adverse effects of an otkaznichestvo for children are considered.Статья посвящена теме отказничества от новорожденных детей, которая является частью проблемы социального сиротства. Автор указывает на масштабность проблемы, охватившей многие страны современного мира, в том силе и Россию. Обращается внимание на междисциплинарный характер проблемы, так как для специалистов в области медицины, так и социологии, психологии, демографии, социальной работы. В работе дается определение основных категории, указываются многие причины и факторы этого явления, рассматриваются крайне неблагоприятные последствия отказничества для самих детей
