NOW  AND  THEN            Steve Kahan  When asked, “Where are you from?”, the appropriate response might very well depend upon the year in which the question were posed.  Such is the dilemma faced by the inhabitants of the twenty-four nations whose current names are listed in the “NOW” column below.  Each country therein was formerly known by a different name, these being presented in the “THEN” column.  The challenge that awaits you is to match the new monikers with the old ones.
