Parrish was pastor of the South Street BaptistChurch, Portsmouth, Va. He is shown as pastor of thatchurch only one year.And the sketch of this man in VIRGINIA BAPTISTMINISTERS, 5th series", pp. 277-78, explains whythe listing of just one year. The man died withpneumonia an June 11, 1910. This brief pastoratein Portsmouth is the only pastorate this man heldin his native State,Fortunately, we have a very good photograph ofMr. Parrish.
